Last night, while celebrating Bastille Day in Nice and the triumph of liberty over tyranny, French citizens were once again attacked by hatred and terror. New Democrats join with all Canadians in condemning this heinous terrorist attack against innocent people.
Canada stands in solidarity as the world once again embraces our French brothers and sisters in this time of pain and anger. We remain determined never to let such a cowardly act shake our commitment to our shared values. Together, we mourn for all those who were killed, pray for a speedy recovery for all those who are injured, and keep the families of everyone affected in our thoughts.
